Sport Stevenage have limited funding available for clubs to apply for to support coach/administrators training and education courses. This support to clubs targets those seeking to gain recognised qualifications both for those coaching and running voluntary sector sports clubs.
In order to apply for this funding, please complete the Sport Stevenage application form and return to the Treasurer at the address on the form.
Each local councillor has a small allocation (£2,500) of Local Community Budget to spent within their ward the Youth Mayor also has an allocation from this fund (£3,300).
If you would like to find out if your idea can be supported by a Local Community Budget talk to your local Councillor or the Youth Mayor.
The Stevenage Community Trust also has a fund which can be accessed by sports clubs and individuals.
This fund can make grants to sports clubs to assist with the training expenses, training courses and in some cases equipment. A club can only apply once per year and it is desirable that the club can show some attempt at funding towards the bid and it will not always be possible to offer the full amount requested. Please note that these applications will only be considered on a quarterly basis so you need to get your application in early.
Our local County Sports Partnership can also support clubs. They have a funding page and a funding newsletter which we post on our site too, which will detail further opportunities for funding in the local area. They also have an ongoing relation with Funding 4 Sport who run funding clinics at regular intervals and offer a bid writing service for a designated fee. Look at their funding information pages to find out more.
